Liz’s Flick Picks is going to talk about one incredible guy who sits on a bench waiting for a bus telling his story to complete strangers. So get your boxes of chocolate and let’s get going.
Forrest Gump tells the story of Forrest Gump, a man with a very low IQ who tells his amazing story to people while waiting for a bus. Forrest Gump was present for many important moments in history, and he meets very famous people as well. But the main focus throughout the story is his attempt to be with his childhood friend Jenny.
This heartwarming tale sends the message that people can do anything they set out to do. Even though Forrest Gump had a low IQ and a leg disability, he did not let it affect him in pursuing his dreams. He kept on running, and he ended up running all over America. He may have had a low IQ, but he says the smartest things.
What was really amazing was how the director placed Tom Hanks in archive footage, showing him interacting with President Kennedy and all the other famous historical events. In fact Forrest Gump was involved with many events, both historical and pop culture. It gives the story a nice time frame.
Forrest Gump may be a comedy, but it’s a comedy that has a wonderful message. Go rent Forrest Gump and sit back and eat a box full of chocolates.
