The Class of 2024’s final day of high school is approaching. For many, this time brings lots of emotions- sadness, excitement, joy, and much more.
May 23rd is the official last full day for seniors, with graduation on June 1. That precious graduation date is a little over a month away when seniors can hang up their school bags and say goodbye to Hudson High School forever. But for me, Olivia Downin, I only need to make it to 2:03 today and I am free.
Being a senior, I can participate in an amazing experience entitled the Senior Internship Program. This allows me to leave school for term 4 and spend the entirety of the day at an offsite location interning for a career of my choice.
I have decided to spend the remainder of my high school life interning for the Junior Bruins Hockey Team, working with their marketing team to do social media.
I mostly feel excited, and ready to go out on a new adventure, meet new people, and experience new things.
I anticipate more feelings of sadness will come down the road when I’m not waking up to go spend time with my best friends. While the end of my year is coming much sooner than the other seniors, I am ready to leave Hudson High and begin a new chapter.
So, today is my last day of school. It comes with a lot of feelings. I feel sour, leaving all my friends behind, but I mostly feel thrilled because, while I don’t know what’s to come, I know it will be worth my while.
