HUDSON- The environmental science club at Hudson High had their first ever crafty upcycling arc enrichment in S205 on Thursday, January 29.
During one of their past meetings after school Ms.Ganek came up with the idea of doing some arts and crafts with toilet paper rolls.
“This was actually something that I did when I ran the sustainability club at my university and I thought it would be a great thing to bring to high schools to help instil the idea that you can recycle and reuse materials.” said Ganek.
The people in the club liked the idea and decided to do some crafts in school during arc.

“I hope that we will have the enrichment again because it was so successful.” said Ganek.
Many students came and made cute animals out of paper and toilet paper rolls. Some examples of the things that they made were bees, pigs, giraffes, butterflies, narwhals, penguins, dinos, pandas, etc.
“It was really great. We had a great turnout, a bunch of students came and everyone made some really cute upcycled critters.”
If you’re interested in doing this, keep an eye out for any updates.
“Ms.Chilton and the folks down at the office are really great at helping us make announcements so students know when we have upcoming enrichments.” said Ganek.
