First Spike Ball Tournament Occurs in March
Senior Alex Cutler has been part of the journalism program since his freshman year and now serves as Co-Editor-in-Chief. What keeps him coming back to the class each year is not only the teacher but also his goal of becoming more open and the easy access it gives him to cover sports events.
Outside the newsroom, Alex has a wide range of hobbies, including painting, playing ice hockey, and building with Legos. A unique skill he’s especially proud of is sewing and hemming, something he learned from his grandmother—an experience that reflects his appreciation for craftsmanship.
When it comes to journalism, Alex is deeply impacted by global issues, particularly the ongoing situation in Gaza, Palestine. If given the chance, he would choose to interview his family on his grandmother’s side to capture their perspective. If he weren’t living in the U.S., he imagines himself in Italy, enjoying authentic ravioli pasta. His go-to music genre? Dad Rock.
