Roughly half way through their season, the Hawk football team has ridden the success of a bevy of upperclassmen to a competitive standing among Midland League B teams.
Seniors Rocco Malloy, and Jesse Nemerowicz lead the Hawks pass and run games respectively. Malloy has been dominant over the middle of the field all season. He has received more targets than any other receiver on the team and notably hauled in a game sealing touchdown reception in Week Two against Assabet. Nemwrowicz, who committed to Bryant University over the summer, has rushed for 316 yards and 5 touchdowns this season. He has bolstered the red-zone success of the Hawks and cemented his reputation as a premier Hawk rusher. Nemerowicz’s teammate, junior Armel Conyers has been the man behind the run-first offense of the Hawks. Conyers has scored twice off kick returns this season while rushing for over 300 yards.
Through a collaboration between the Big Red Hawks and HSPN, we caught up with Malloy, Nemerowicz, and Conyers and asked them about their respective seasons.
