Junior Braedyn Folan returns to The Big Red as an editor this year who first joined the journalism program as a freshman.
He began with photography and quickly developed a strong interest in the field. While he initially focused on events and activity assignments, he has since pushed himself to cover a wider range of topics and take on more challenging work this year. A natural conversationalist, he enjoys talking to the people he interviews.
Folan appreciates the creative freedom he had early on and is excited to collaborate with a larger staff this year.
Outside of journalism, he is inspired by God and his football coach, Coach Attaway. He plays football, his favorite sport, and also competes in track. After graduation, Folan plans to pursue a career as a Navy officer and hopes to attend the U.S. Naval Academy.
