Tapping back into Varsity Tennis, the girls cleared the courts last week, winning 4/4 of their matches and simultaneously setting off their new winning streak.
The team secured their fourth win in a row last Friday (4/26) in a match against Quabbin, with another score of 3-2.
“I think we’re doing really great as a team this year,” said returning Captain Sophie Charbonnaeu. “I’m really proud of how everyone has done.”
Their streak will be put to the test this Wednesday (5/1) when the girls face Marlborough at the MHS Court at 4:00 p.m..
“I think its all about consistency and practice,” Captain Charbonnaeu said. “If we keep working as hard as we have been, I think we definitely have a shot at another win.”
Charbonnaeu’s co-Captain Janie Brunelle, who is also returning for her second year of captaincy, shares the same confidence in the team.
“We’ve been working hard as a team this season,” said Captain Brunelle, “and hopefully we can see the outcome of that in a continued winning streak. But besides the wins themselves, the team’s dedication is a victory of its own. We’re just as proud of how hard we’ve been working too.”
