Senior Lillyanna Resendes, is new to the journalism program and joins the Big Red this year. Though she hasn’t taken a journalism class before, she was curious and wanted to learn something new she hadn’t pursued before. Resendes has enjoyed interviewing people face to face to share their stories. She attends the club and looks forward to earning her Civic Action Pathway seal through her journalism pursuits.

If she could interview anyone, dead or alives, she would most like to interview, Alexander Hamilton because I’d want to know what else he would’ve done before his fateful duel with Aaron Burr.

Beyond journalism, Resendes’s life is full of activity. She commits hours to golf and dance. She loves arts and crafts. A big hearted empath, she works Encompass program for the Hudson Parks and Recreation Department.

Resendes is inspired by both of her sisters because they both balance as many things as they can with full commitment and grace. After graduation, Resendes wants to pursue a Masters to become a Pediatric Occupational Therapist.
