Senior Ella Spuria has been studying journalism for four years, inspired by her love for the fast-paced world of news. She discovered her passion for photography during her freshman year while creating a gallery for the school newspaper, despite having no prior experience.
She later took a photography class to improve her skills and eventually bought her own camera in sophomore year after frequently borrowing the newspaper’s. At the time, there were few student photographers, and she saw an opportunity to capture school sports in a new way.
Today, Spuria runs her own photography website and social media, covering a wide range of sports and working to highlight every team. She also photographs senior portraits and studio art, though she prefers capturing action and real moments.
Outside of journalism, Spuria enjoys spending time with friends and listening to a variety of music. While unsure if photography will be her full-time career, she plans to continue the hobby wherever life takes her.
