HUDSON- The JV Boys Soccer Team defeated Clinton 2-0 on October 10. 8th grader Santiago Vieira Nunes (15) scores first goal of the match to make it 1-0. Freshman Filipe Coelho (10) scored a solo goal in the first half making the score 2-0. Defenders Carlos Martinez Ramos (17), Peter Boge (26), Colin Lanigan (22), and Declan Coletti (18) hold the back line and force a clean sheet. 8th grader Andrew Camacho kept every ball shot at him out of the net in a win over Clinton.

Freshman Chase Farrar is a first-year journalism student at Hudson High School. Though he is new to the subject, he joined the class as a way to explore journalism and hopes it will prepare him for easier choices in future schedules. His main goal this year is to earn good grades, and after high school, he plans to attend college.
Outside of class, Chase enjoys playing Fortnite—a hobby that has already earned him $100 in winnings. He follows news in the gaming world, particularly stories around Fortnite players, and says he would love to meet Peterbot one day. His favorite influencer is Sophie Rain.
When it comes to music, Chase enjoys listening to smooth jazz.
Freshman Henry Maver is beginning his first year in journalism at Hudson High School. He finds the subject interesting and wants to learn more about it. His main goal this year is to pass all of his classes while gaining new skills in writing and reporting.
Henry is also an athlete who plays football for the Hawks and dreams of continuing the sport in college. A unique fact about him is that his grandfather once played football at UConn, a connection that inspires him. Outside of school, Henry follows both news and sports closely—he’s interested in U.S. tariffs because of his interest in stock investing, and he regularly watches ESPN for sports coverage.
His favorite media personality is Lee Corso, and his favorite music genre is rap.
