Seniors once again won the spirit stick at the spring field day. This year, new games were introduced, such as the matress relay and a singing competition. Fan favorites included Knock Out, limbo, water bottle flipping, musical chairs and Pictionary. Students and staff all enjoyed an afternoon of community fun and games.

Clarissa Lopes, a freshman, is in her first year of journalism at The Big Red. She took journalism intending to get better time management skills and improve her writing overall. Her favorite subjects are history and English because she hopes to be a lawyer someday. Lopes’ favorite drink is mango juice. She loves Bruno Mars, her favorite movie is A Walk to Remember, and when she has time, she likes watching Avatar: The Last Airbender. Lopes’s favorite meal is any type of Brazilian BBQ.

Livia Dos Santos Vilela, Staff Writer

Livia Vilela is a senior in her first year of journalism at The Big Red. She is taking this class because she is curious about this course and wants to improve her writing, speaking, and listening skills. Vilela’s favorite subject in school is English and Portuguese. She favors pineapple passion fruit refresher from Starbucks; her favorite song is “Mienteme” by TINI and Maria Becerra; her favorite movie is Fast and Furious 5; and her TV show is Prison Break. Vilela enjoys Brazilian food, especially rice, beans, and Tilapia.
