Freshman Melanie is a first-year journalism student at Hudson High School. Although she doesn’t have previous journalism experience, she has been interested in the field her whole life and hopes to one day become a journalist. Her dream is to be on the sidelines covering a sports game, and she’s eager to learn the fundamentals of reporting this year.

Outside of journalism, Melanie is passionate about sports and plans to attend college after high school. A fun fact about her is that she has three older brothers—one of whom was a 1,000-point basketball scorer at Hudson High. Her favorite music genre is pop.
