Senior Medjine Fils is a first-year journalism student at Hudson High School. Originally from Haiti, this is her first year living in the United States, and she is adjusting to how things work here. Her first language is Creole, though she also speaks French and English.

Medjine joined journalism to improve her writing skills and to try something new. Her goal for the year is to become more comfortable socializing and meeting new people. After this school year, she plans to move away from journalism and pursue a career in either the medical field or entertainment.

A fun fact about Medjine is that she has a strong interest in true crime. She enjoys watching documentaries and YouTube videos about different cases—particularly those involving Jack the Ripper.
