Freshman Correia Monti is taking journalism for the first time in her high school career. Although she didn’t choose the class initially, she hopes it will help her strengthen her social and writing skills. Originally from Brazil, Emilly has lived in the United States since she was 11 years old and plans to pursue a career in business after high school.

If given the opportunity to interview anyone, living or dead, Correia Monti would choose Jesus Christ—driven by her curiosity and the belief that he holds answers no one else in the world can provide. Unlike many of her peers, she prefers podcasts and audiobooks over music.
