Yes, it is true; The Hunger Games is taking over the world. It is so big at our school we had a discussion group on Tuesday, April 24. The fans gathered at the library with snacks such as chocolate-chip cookies, brownies, and pretzels at 2:15 P.M.
The group discussed anything Hunger Games-related, whether it was the geography or the relationship between the characters. They also compared the movie to the book.
Theresa Guidotti and Diana Contreras are fans who attended this book discussion.
Q: How do you think it went?
TG: It went good, but limited for the people who have not read the rest of the books or seen the movie.
DC: It went pretty well.
Q: What topic did you enjoy discussing?
TG: Peeta vs. Gale.
Q: Whom did you side with?
TG: Peeta!
DC: I liked talking about the reality TV we have now and comparing it to The Hunger Games.
Q: Was there anything you wished you could have discussed?
TG: The relationship between Katniss and Rue.
DC: Not really.
Q: What topic did you not enjoy discussing?
TG: The geography of Panem; it was pretty boring.
DC: The other books, because I have not been able to read them yet.
Q: If you could go again, would you? Why?
TG: Yes, because it was good to talk about how other people interpreted the movie or book.
DC: Yes, because it was a lot of fun.
