For this past Valentine’s Day sale, the Hawk’s Nest was a huge hit amongst the students and the faculty in the school. For the four days that they ran the sale at all three lunches, they sold out of all of their stuffed animals as well as all of the six dozen long stem roses. Other popular items were candles, cards, and conversation hearts.
The money made at the Hawk’s Nest helps to pay for new supplies and products. The store sells items at such low prices for students that there is barely any profit. Teacher Patti Bouvier says, “The store is a vehicle for my classroom.” Being a business teacher, Bouvier just wants to use the store to help her students learn about business.
