What this Laser can do and what damage it can deliver

The military has tried many different experiments with lasers. Their only successful attempt was with an airborne laser which uses a very deadly chemical that is not only fragile but expensive as well and so now they have invented a new laser which is even more deadlier.

The new laser is to be called the Firestrike laser, and it is capable of slicing through steel and even skin. The materials used for the laser are of course classified, but it seems to be using a rare element such as neodymium or chromium found in the earth. This material is pumped with a light source and just like that with some modifications you have yourself a powerful beam piercing steel and soon will be used as a weapon in future wars.
